About Hex-Logic Polishing Pads
Hex-logic pads are engineered and developed for today’s pickiest detailing professionals. Engineered, developed and tested to the strictest and highest requirements of our OEM clients, these pads utilize the best foams from around the world and the latest of testing and research and development! Unlike traditional pads, the Hex-logic pads use a system of precision, laser cut hexagons to not only distribute the right amount of product throughout the pad, but also provide 100% coverage on flat or rounded/angled surface.
Much like the way bees build a honeycomb nest to distribute honey and pollen evenly, the Hex-Logic Pads keep product in the groves while you start and as the pad is spun and rubbed against the surface, the polish travels thought the hex-groves into the pad evenly, delivering a superior accurate finish, while keeping the surface constantly lubricated to reduce friction and marring.
The unique hex laser cut surface of the pad enables Hex-Logic pads to conform to the shape of the surface, delivering maximum surface contact while distributing product evenly throughout the pad to minimize heat.
Hex-Logic Surface Technology
Developed to address weaknesses inherent in traditional foam pads, Hex-Logic technology is the first surface-functioning pad that adapts to curved, angled, sloped or flat surfaces delivering the maximum amount of contact and the right amount of product distribution to deliver perfect results to any surface.
Based on hexagonal honeycomb-shaped product cells, the computer designed hex-logic system ensures proper surface contact and even product distribution over any surface. Durable Acu-Pore foam technology combined with hex-logic honeycomb product distribution cells enables hex-logic pads to utilize product, friction and heat to product prefect results on any surface.
Hex-Logic foam pads perform slightly different from each other on the basis of how they are constructed. Under a microscope, Acu-Foam technology is visibly. The foam pads also have a hex-logic honeycomb construction of small uniformly shaped cells. The smaller the cells, the more dense the construction. Each pad color has a different density of foam and a varying amount of cut. Once the foam style is selected the Hex-Logic computer carefully calculates pad density and adjusts the depth of cut into the pad surface. Each Color pad will have a specific depth of cut in reference to the hex-logic pattern on the pad surface. Hex-logic pads are open allowing maximum air to flow through the foam. Chemical compounds and polishes require the right amount of air flow through the foam. Open cell foam is ideal is achieving the best results from your chemicals.
Self-Centered pads center themselves for superior results from start to finish. The unique self-centered pad has a “V” like construction. The face of the pad is wider than the backing, offering a one inch foam protector that assures no matter how hard you push, you will never hit the backing plate against the surface of your vehicle. The self-centered ring is embedded into the pad enabling the backing plate to sink into the pad.
About the Yellow Heavy Cutting Pad
The Yellow Heavy Cutting Pad is designed to apply compounds or polishes to remove serve oxidation, swirls and scratches. The yellow pad is the most aggressive pad and should only be used on oxidized and older finishes. Always follow this pad with an orange pad and a fine polish then a white pad to refine the paint until it is smooth.
